A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux

is their even a level editor in the Linux version?
The level editor should work on every OS, hopefully!

I want to say that i am working for android port of the demo, it will not touch full, but anyway i want to tell it to you, and need to know are you against this or not? all it says is cannot execute: Permission denied
try running
chmod +x /yourname/Downloads/Beatblock-linux/AppRun
to allow it to run as an executable

My friend recommended this game because he said it has a rate system like Geometry Dash and thought I'd like it, I'm on Mac and tried downloading. After telling the Mac that I don't care if it contains malware, whenever I open it it just closes and says it crashed unexpectedly. Could you possibly attatch a browser version to the itch page so I could try the game? Thanks for taking the time to read this and have a nice day!
Unfortunately a browser version of the game is not something we can do right now. Crashes can be reported on our GitHub, though!

This is awesome, thank you for taking the time to write this! I'm really happy to hear that the art style clicked so well, since it's something we've spent a lot of time refining.
In regards to the feedback, we actually just put out an update that completely reworks the tutorial, and swaps out one of the more difficult songs for an easier one with the same mechanic. Keeping the difficulty curve manageable is something we're still working on, but hopefully this is a step in the right direction.
Again, it's really awesome to see actual in-depth feedback. I wish you good luck on your own rhythm game! (^^)=)

I'm trying to download the game on chromebook using Linux but I have no idea what to put in to install it. I've tried putting in sudo apt-get install beatblock and other stuff similar. It worked with lmms so I know it at least works with some stuff, but could someone explain?
you can just get steam on chromebook and download the demo on there skipping the linux part (it may not be chromebook supported on there idk)
It could work but I would need to download the app thingy but due to the wonders of technology, it can't be downloaded on chromebook. Thanks for the help though, I still have no idea how to install it, lol.
Best game ever, im more of a vr player but when i saw this i was so entertained i've been play for 2 days and still it's fun. TRY IT OUT

For some reason, the game crashes whenever I boot it up.

I sent one.
If you set a keyboard binding for restarting, you can restart your current level instead of the entire marathon. Not that I would want my progress to be reset by pressing the wrong key…
Anyway, great game! Still kind of struggling at the new reward…

I saw a clip of this game on Youtube and searched to try it for myself. Absolutely BANGER of a game, if you enjoy OSU! and you own a computer, you need to try this game.

hello. i love this game. i love rythym games and im quite good at them. but the lack of visual feedback for the taps makes it unplayable for me .... I've seen people commenting the same thing 🥹 ive been playing it for days but can't get the hang of the taps no matter how hard i try because i cant figure out if theyre actually processing or not. i cant tell if its one of my hundreds of brain issues or if im just an idiot. but it would be very nice to have this added to the game, maybe at least as an opt-in accessibility thing in the game settings

Beatblock has actually been in development since 2020, though we took inspiration from plenty of other games with similar mechanics. I tried out ocean hell, and it's pretty cool! I especially like the timing colors, and the charting is simple but fun. Really nice job on your game!

im not sure if this supports my laptop (acer extensa 5235 running windows 7)
It's a 2d game on OpenGL which my (kind of ahead of the time?) windows 7 pro pc ran just fine at more than max performance. Yes, you can run this game.
